While I was trying to take a picture of this beautiful Tiger Lily a humming bird surprised me as it zoomed into the picture. I’m lucky I got the picture to share with everyone. I think I will enter it into the county fair. It looks like a first place picture to me ;o)
Let’s play I-spy again…. can you see the humming bird sucking pollen in the second picture? The first picture the humming bird is flying in and the second pictures it actually landed.
The ongoing adventures of me growing up in the mountains… it’s way too much fun…really…come and see…

I’m just a Dog!
"Hey, mom what ya doing....?"
This is my dog Jeb. He is a black Lab. He loves the water and to play fetch.
He will eat anything and I mean anything. His favorite things to eat are fruit and vegetables. We can’t let him in the garden or the orchard or he will eat the fruit and veggies right off the plants. I know it’s crazy. I let him eat all my apple cores….he loooovvvveeesss it!!!!! Just yesterday he ate a banana right out of my hand when I wasn’t looking.
As you can see all that eating and fetching is tiring….

!!!Heart Rocks!!!
Once I was looking on 1 of my favorite blogs, Farmgirl Fare, and she had heart rocks, so I started looking for heart rocks. Here are some heart rocks I found. Check out her collection here. She has a huge collection. They are really fun to collect because it’s fun when you find one.

Do you want to play I-spy?
Can you find the chicken? Look really closely…I promise she’s in there…
This is my wild chicken that lives around my gate. Our gate is really far from our house so we have to walk down to see her (she’s a hen). I like to feed her with my parents. I think she needs a name. Can you come up with a good name for her?
P.S.
If you click on the picture it will make it bigger.

It’s official!! Today is the last day of school!!
Today is the last day of school, but I actually started summer 2 days early shhh… don’t tell my teacher. I am homeschooled and I thought I’d share some picture from my school.
This is my brother and I taking our names off the radical reader’s club tree.
This is some art that students at school made…
This is our library…
This is a poster at school…I think we all should ask questions!

Artwork
For those of you who don’t know I LOVE to do art. I love to draw, paint, color, sculpt with clay, just about anything. My mom LOVES to display it throughout our house. I thought I’d share some if it with you.
This is a clay sculpture I did in school this year. My dad and I had it framed for my mom for Mother’s Day. Can you tell I love the mountains in this sculpture?
This is a drawing I did in art class. The dog is our black Lab named, Jeb (I haven’t introduced him to you yet…maybe in a few more days). He’s silly you’re going to love him!
My mom asked me to do some artwork for our guest bedroom…this is what I painted.
This Fat Frog my brother did when he was in second grade. It won first place in our local fair. He won a check for a $1.50 which my mom never let him cash (he’s still not over it).
I’m not sure what this picture is of, but my brother did this one too. He spit red clay through a straw…I guess that’s how the Indians did it a long time ago.

Shadow the Ninja Cat...
This is my cat Shadow. She only has 1 eye that she can see out of. I bet you want to know why she can’t see out of 1 eye. Well when she was only 4 months old she got bit by a rattlesnake right in her eye. My cat, Willy saved her life by killing the snake.
She is like a ninja with her 1 eye and she is always looking for a bird as you can see…

Willy...
Cherries! Cherries! Cherries!
I love cherries. We have 3 cherry trees at my house, and only 1 is loaded this year.
We put a net on the tree so that the birds will not get the cherries… one bird did get stuck in the net and when my dad and brother were trying to free it he bit them like 4 times. It was funny!
Cherries sitting on the windowsill to ripen. It's sooooo hard to walk by and not grab one!

Plants & Flowers Around My Yard
Strawberries! Strawberries! Strawberries!
This is a strawberry plant in bloom!
This is a bowl of strawberries! Guess what we did with the strawberries…
We made jam! (by the way my mom was the one that took a bite...can you see it?)
Do you know the difference between jam and jelly? Well, jelly is made out of the juice of the fruit while jam is made out of the whole fruit. I prefer JAM!
